Getting to grips with new initiatives

This workshop explores two recent initiatives that have been introduced in our sector:  Te Ara Poutama (ERO’S new evaluation framework) and the Professional Growth Cycle which replaces appraisal.

This workshop will:

•  give an overview of Te Ara Poutama‘s rationale and ethos
•  explain how teachers can use Te Ara Poutama  to inform strategic/annual planning and internal evaluation
• explain the key components of  a Professional  Growth Cycle
• outline new expectations regarding evidencing  practice

This workshop is of great benefit to newly formed teams or teams that have had significant changes in staff.
