Undertaking effective reviews
ERO has recently been giving feedback to many centres about the need to conduct their reviews more robustly, ensuring that practice and policy changes are embedded across the team and the benefit to children is made explicit.
We will step you through the review process with an emphasis on high quality, but time efficient, documentation that closes the evidential loop.
Internal evaluation
Following the recent update of the licensing criteria, some people think that internal evaluation is no longer required. But it is!! And it is something that many teams struggle to do effectively.
We can provide guidance through an entire internal evaluation cycle so that your whole team can be confident in undertaking robust evaluations that meet ERO expectations and really make a difference to teaching practice and learning outcomes. We can also give you feedback on your current processes and documentation to ensure they meet all ERO expectations and will enable effective improvement of practice.
Strategic and annual planning
Although strategic and annual plans are no longer an expectation of the Licensing Criteria, they are still sound business practice. Having clearly defined big picture goals helps to keep everyone moving forward in the same direction and is an important part of setting and maintaining priorities. With so many things competing for your time and attention, a strong strategic plan and specific annualised goals are a very useful way to keep your focus on continuous improvement.
We can work with your service’s governance and management teams, the teaching team and/or the whole centre community to develop clear objectives and actions to ensure progress is made towards being the service you aspire to be.
